    Overview

    Spry is looking for a Web Developer for our downtown Dallas location. You would be joining a group of individuals who support all aspects of IT technology, while working closely with our Senior Web Developer. This position entails the creation of new web-based applications in PHP, troubleshooting and adding features to existing pages and applications, and provide some guidance and technical assistance with SharePoint sites.

    Job Responsibilities and/or Success Factors

    • Background check required. This is an on-site position, 40hr work week
    • Strong knowledge of HTML, HTML5 and PHP languages, CSS, jQuery and JavaScript
    • Experience with Angular JS, Ajax and Bootstrap technologies
    • Excellent creative and design skills with a good technical base for Web Design
    • Write and troubleshoot database queries (MySql, SQL and Oracle) as it applies to web-based applications that utilize them
    • Familiar with LDAP queries in an Active Directory domain environment
    • Experience with Adobe Dreamweaver; Validating cross-browser function (IE/Chrome)
    • Exposure to maintaining document libraries, site structures, workflows, permissions and site collections in Sharepoint / Office365
    • Attend new project meetings, record application or page requirements and provide feedback. Proactive in voicing better approaches to satisfy software requirements, and willing to learn new ways of accomplishing those goals
    • Work with other IT team members and business customers on projects, to include stakeholders, web developers, database and network administrators
    • Contribute to multi-talented team by exercising secondary talents you have, such as:
      • Examining and testing browser behavior on computers. Comfortable with face-to-face interaction and exhibits good customer service traits
      • Stay informed on complimentary technologies (Drupal, Salesforce, etc)
      • Must be willing to use IT support skills to augment the help desk when needed

    Required skills and experience include

    • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or a related discipline. Equivalent and directly related work experience may be substituted for a degree
    • 3-5 years experience working with web development and/or Sharepoint
    • Web page and application design, to include visualizing and implementing workflow, program logic, database queries and email notifications 
    • Strong interpersonal skills and a clear communicator with technical creativity
