    Overview

    Spry Methods has an immediate opportunity for a senior manager position supporting the Department of the Navy - Strategic Systems Program (SSP) echelon II command in their Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) efforts. Support will cover a range of issues areas to include SBR/SBA work streams (Contract Vendor Pay, Transportation of People, Transportation of Things, MILSTRPS, FBWTand Reimbursable Work Orders). Additionally, the candidate will provide leadership and support for audit liaison activities and provide oversight of the support team.

    Job Responsibilities and/or Success Factors

    • Perform assessment of FIAR Requirements and apply to NAvy SSP Operating environment
    • Lead assessment of Operating Materials and Supplies and General Equipment
    • Provide guidance and leadership on the review and assessment of the existence and completeness and valuation of OM&S and GE
    • Review and assess the accuracy of the OM&S and GE balances reported in the Navy Financial Statements
    • Maintain project plan and managed completion of weekly and monthly milestones
    • Prepare regular status reports and engagement economics

    Required skills and experience include

    • Minimum bachelor's degree in related field (Accounting/Finance)
    • Certified Public Accountant, CGFM, and/or PMP
    • Minimum 5 years experience in DoD Financial Management and Audit Readiness
    • Active Secret security clearance

    Preferred skills

    • Understanding of federal financial management requirements and standards to include DASAB accounting standards, OSD Comptroller FIAR Guidance, GAO Yellow Book and the Treasury Financial Manual
    • Understanding of FIAR Segments to include SBR/SBA and Balance Sheet line items
