    Spry Methods is seeking a passionate and business savvy Director to establish and implement our Cybersecurity and Alignment practice. This includes information assurance program, security architecture, certification and accreditation/A&A/RMF, operational security, incident management, cyber analytics, security system engineering and implementation of various security solutions and innovations.

    • You have previously consulted on multiple projects to ensure appropriate best practices are followed and built across people, process, technology, and mission functions to ensure successful outcomes for all security initiatives
    • You have hands-on experience implementing a complex cybersecurity program or sets of programs across Public and Private sector
    • You have a growth mindset and passionate about building and growing cybersecurity capabilities, services, and solutions supporting Federal clients

    Job Responsibilities and/or Success Factors

    • Oversee company cybersecurity services to ensure appropriate coverage of security capabilities and identify potential gaps for increased capability and business growth
    • Ensure our cybersecurity capabilities and objectives are aligned across business units
    • Advise and support business development, business operations, and proposals to support growth
    • Develop actionable guidelines and practices that align with Spry Methods cybersecurity growth plan
    • Conduct periodic reviews across all business units to ensure that designs are built and implemented to the agreed cyber security architecture
    • Collaborate with the technical capability leads to ensure appropriate cybersecurity practices and tools are reflected in the enterprise roadmaps while aligning with cyber security strategy

    Required skills and experience include

    • At least 10 years' experience with cybersecurity architecture governance, policies and processes; ideally within Technology and Federal environments 
    • Possess a cybersecurity related credentials (CISSP, CISA, CISM etc.)
    • A Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Information Systems or research related discipline
    • Expert knowledge of US Public Sector client security requirements including but not limited to FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST 800-53, NIST 800-37, FIPS 199, FIPS 200 and Industrial Security including RMF, PCI, PII and 508 compliance
    • Strong analytical and writing skills and feel confident providing written and oral briefings on a variety of cybersecurity related topics such as Cloud, DevOps, Networking, etc.

    Preferred skills

    • An active security clearance
    • Demonstrated experience with self-initiated security projects or programs improving the overall strategic posture of the threat and risk landscape throughout an organization
    • You have knowledge of emerging cybersecurity and threat models
    • Previously written published articles and books or have presented in conference or symposia settings
