Job Responsibilities and/or Success Factors

  • Knowledge of OMB A-123 and supporting the design and implementation of a range of audit methodologies
  • Understand change management processes to support developing managerial reporting tools, and remediation solutions to facilitate alignment to authoritative accounting/internal control standards and guidelines (FASAB statements, DOD FMR, MCO 7300.21.A)
  • Draft policies, key internal controls and process narratives
  • Lead development of audit readiness, and audit support reporting processes to communicate audit preparedness to client stakeholders
  • Create Audit Checklists, Audit Support Handbooks, Model Audit Packages to guide project team and inform client stakeholders of in-process and completed actions
  • Develop Statement of Assurance (SOA) response; and track remediation efforts

Required skills and experience include

  • Must have a strong understanding of audit readiness policies, standards and guidelines, as well as process improvement experience
  • 5+ years auditing and accounting experience
  • CGFM
  • Experience with MS Office suite
